Big Media would rather have you think about Paris Hilton, thank you.

It’s shaping up to be a liberal Monday.  This one goes out to my posse (I’m not even sure if I spelled that correctly, and if I look it up, I’m further disqualified from using it) in Portland.

Do you want the media to do a better job covering the issues that matter most to you and your community?

Now is your chance to voice your concerns about local media directly to policymakers from Washington.

On June 28, the Federal Communications Commission will hold an official public hearing on media localism in Portland, Maine. This is the fifth in a series of six official hearings on media localism nationwide and the only one in New England — so it’s critical for you to be there:
